The Bulletin of International Case Law is a release by the Federal Supreme Court (STF). The inaugural edition of the material features the STF’s case-law research on slave labor and the selection, translation, and adaptation of 20 international cases deemed relevant.
Slave labor is the main theme of the first edition of the Bulletin of International Case Law, presented by the STF’s Documentation Secretariat in February of this year. The new publication is issued bimonthly. With each issue, the material promises to bring a theme of international relevance — and one that is, in principle, on the STF’s agenda.
The STF states that the purpose of this new bulletin is to gather and systematize, for comparison purposes, decisions of the Supreme Court, of international courts, and of foreign constitutional courts and supreme courts on the selected theme.
The bulletin is available in its electronic version on the STF portal. Under the Case Law menu, in the item Research/ Ready-Made Searches.

1st edition of the Bulletin of International Case Law
The launch edition of the bulletin features the STF’s case-law research on slave labor and the selection, translation, and adaptation of 20 international cases deemed relevant. Among these are judgments discussing the criminal offense corresponding to that of reduction to a condition analogous to slavery, as well as the characteristics of modern slavery, degrading conditions and excessive working hours, and the relationship between human trafficking and the various types of slavery — including domestic servitude and debt bondage.
