Letter Goal: From Football to Law

Taking advantage of the World Cup atmosphere, I wanted to share a story with you. Before falling in love with the Law, I had another professional passion: soccer. Incredible, isn’t it? But that was my first dream. Like many Brazilian boys, I even went to tryouts at Flamengo and Santos.

I was very good at dribbling. But it was not merely a skill; I spent hours watching matches and studying the tactics of opposing teams in order to know the right moment when I could use a particular dribble to help the team reach its ultimate objective, the goal.

Indeed, building the play was what impacted me the most, because it requires having a broad vision of the game, of each player’s role, and putting onto the field the tactics studied beforehand.

For reasons beyond my control, I was unable to continue in soccer. However, that time was not wasted. I use daily the game vision I acquired, because building the plays required thinking of the collective and of the countless possibilities up to the goal.

So it is in the law: I always seek to think of every way to solve clients’ matters, allowing them to set out their points of view, fostering the building of the solution together.

The confidence I acquired by training the dribbles also accompanies me daily, because I understood that it is by studying the segments and understanding their points of view that I could create an environment that is emotionally and legally safe for my clients.

The goal is the realization of countless plays; the ball is worked through each pass until the result. So it occurs in the legal process. We work each stage with excellence so that in the end we achieve the best possible financial return for each client, prioritizing their interests and legal certainty in every demand.

When I say we work, it is because I adopt the principle of collectivity and synergy within my team. Just as in soccer, we are truly a team, in which each one of us knows their position and the passes we must exchange until victory.

Here at Lassori, we have a strategic vision focused on the client’s business, with legal rigor and excellence. If in soccer the goals are the team’s victory and the joy of the fans, our objectives as attorneys are the client’s satisfaction and the team’s success.
