Deadline to Provide Information Related to Pert Extends Until the 28th

Since the 10th of this month, the deadline has been open for providing information for the consolidation of installment plans under the Special Tax Regularization Program (Pert). This initiative was instituted by Law No. 13,496 of 2017, with respect to the other debts administered by the Federal Revenue Service. All taxpayers who are active participants in Pert must provide such information and pay all outstanding debt balances due through the month of November of this year. The deadline ends on December 28, 2018.

Anyone who fails to comply with any of these obligations will have their installment plan denied. They will lose all the program’s benefits and the collection of all debts subject to consolidation will be resumed.

The information must be provided through the link “Parcelamento – solicitar e acompanhar” (Installment plan – request and track) available on the e-CAC portal of the Federal Revenue Service website on the internet.

The main information to be provided is: the number of installments, the credits that will be used to settle part of the debt, and the debts that the taxpayer wishes to include in the program.

The guide with detailed information about the system for providing information can be consulted by clicking here.

Pert grants a discount on fines and interest and allows the payment of debts owed to the Union in up to 180 months (five months to pay in installments the down payment of 20% of the total debt plus 175 months to settle the remainder).

Enrollment in the program took place throughout 2017. After paying the down payment in installments, the taxpayer began paying the remainder of the total debt reported upon enrollment, divided by the number of installments chosen, while the final amount of the installment was not yet consolidated. The minimum installment is equivalent to R$ 200 for individuals and R$ 1,000 for legal entities.
