The Board of Trade of the State of São Paulo simplifies rules for the publication of balance sheets and financial statements.
The Board of Trade of the State of São Paulo (Jucesp) published in the State Official Gazette, on July 20, Resolution No. 1/2022, which aims to facilitate the disclosure of balance sheets and financial statements for Limited Liability Companies, Cooperatives, and Corporations. The new measures benefit all companies, with smaller ones being exempt from some additional obligations.
“These changes aim to reduce bureaucracy in processes and provide more options for entrepreneurs, who can choose whichever is most convenient for them,” explains Ademar Bueno, vice-president responsible for the affairs of the JUCESP.
Publication in widely circulated outlets can now be carried out in a simplified version in the printed edition, provided that it includes a link or QR Code for the publication of the complete version on the website of the same outlet.
Publication in the State or Federal Official Gazette ceases to be mandatory and becomes optional. Depending on the size or legal type of the company, it is possible to carry out the publication in the Central Repository of Balance Sheets (CB) of the Public Digital Bookkeeping System (SPED).
Some companies may even be exempt from publication, provided that they opt to file the document approving the Annual Balance Sheet and the Financial Statements, with the proper declaration that they are not large companies.
