The deadline for joining various forms of settlement agreements offered to taxpayers by the Attorney General’s Office of the National Treasury (PGFN) has been extended until December 29.
Among them are the Funrural, Extraordinary, Exceptional, Exceptional for Rural and Land Debts, Active Debt of Small Value settlements and for the Emergency Program for the Recovery of the Events Sector.
The measure is set forth in Ordinance PGFN/ME No. 11,496, of September 22, 2021.
Settlement agreements
Settlement agreements allow the taxpayer who falls within the forms provided for in the legislation to regularize their tax situation with the PGFN under special conditions, with discounts of up to 100% on the amounts of fines, interest and charges.
An instrument intended to contribute to the maintenance of companies and the jobs they generate, the settlement stimulates economic activity and ensures resources for public policies.
“It is a new opportunity for the resumption of compliance with tax obligations,” states the Minister of the Economy, Paulo Guedes, who adds: “We want companies to invest again and generate jobs.”
