With the pandemic of the new coronavirus, companies had to adapt overnight to a new scenario. Even with intense changes in the business, in the way of selling and operating, their greatest challenge relates to their workforce. Home office stands out as a solution. The article is from Exame.
For more than half of the companies, the greatest challenge is keeping employees engaged and productive, an issue cited by 55% of the respondents to the survey “Challenges of covid-19 for organizational communication” (conducted by Aberje and obtained exclusively by Exame).
Protecting the financial health of the organization is a challenge for 45%, and being flexible and adapting to adopt extremely agile strategies is also an adversity for 45%.
Home office and other measures
Among the most common measures taken by companies are: adoption of the home office system, in 95% of cases; the intensification of the digital communication process, for 90%; and the leave of professionals through the granting of individual and collective vacations, compensation of the hours bank, reduction of working hours and suspension of operations, in 95% of companies.
Even with the broad adoption of home office, not all employees can work remotely. For these, 40% of companies adjusted the work environment, with rotation and reduction of working hours; 34% reinforced cleaning, hygiene and safety measures in the workplace; and 21% intensified the communication process through campaigns and guidance information.
